HUCK IDEA PITCH:

THE PLACES PROJECT

Anchor 1

THE PLACES PROJECT

For our LIVE project, my group and I decided to work with Huck magazine as our client. We were given a brief to create a strategy that extends on Huck’s platform. Throughout our research, we have identified a significant social gap between Northern and Southern England; a problem which we believe important for brands to raise their awareness of. In the process of arriving at our big idea, we have decided to work around Huck’s brand ethos that revolves around Travel, Culture and Stories. Using these three elements, we created a project that evokes a sense of community within a Fragmented Britain, called The Places Project. It is a project that invites Huck’s consumers to submit their favourite places to be in the UK along with their brief stories behind it to our website, which we then transformed into postcards. We would share and sell these postcards on our website, allowing people to purchase postcards of strangers’ favourite places. We believe that this would give a sense of deeper connection within the UK community, especially now in the light of the COVID-19 situation. We have also created mockups of how this project would appear in one of Huck's magazine issue to help visualise our idea to life.
